Prior to decorating cakes
My passion for art started at a very young age. In high school I was an AP art student, and majored in photography. I submitted my first college portfolio as a Junior in high school, and was given an opportunity to travel to Greece and Italy for photography.
How I got into decorating cakes
When I was 16 I worked as a cashier at Publix, and one night I was sent to help out the bakery. The decorators were behind, and they needed someone to help out making cakes. I had never iced a cake in my life and this was before internet on cell phones, so I couldn’t pull up a Youtube tutorial. I was just given a book with written out steps to ice and assemble cakes. I ended up falling in love with it, and I continued to work as a Publix cake decorator for the next 12 years. During that time, I went to Keiser University where I earned my degree in baking and pastry. After that, I relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, and worked as a pastry cook at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. Eventually, I transferred to a nearby Publix bakery where I became the lead cake decorator and district trainer.
How CCSWEETS was born
Despite my creativity and passion for cake decorating, I always felt trapped within the confines of the structured grocery store schedule. Fatigue seemed to follow me like a shadow, making it difficult to pursue my dreams beyond the store's walls. My persistent exhaustion was not simply a consequence of long hours and demanding work. After years of struggling, I was finally diagnosed with narcolepsy, a neurological disorder characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness. With the diagnosis in hand, I embarked on a journey to find the right treatment and was able to successfully find a way to manage my narcolepsy symptoms. I felt like my life finally began once I was treated, so I decided to take a leap of faith and turn my passion for cake decorating into a full-fledged business. In 2021 CCSWEETS, LLC was born, and ever since then I have poured my heart and soul into every creation!
I can’t wait to make sweet memories with you!

Style and Design
As a cake artist, I believe in transparency when it comes to my style and expertise. My strengths lie in crafting cakes that embody my signature aesthetic - characterized by abstract designs, intricate sugar art, and personalized touches that truly reflect your vision. I am committed to originality and will never replicate the work of fellow artists or even my own creations. Every cake I create holds special significance, narrating a meaningful story that resonates with you. As you can probably guess, just like how no two tattoos would be exactly the same if different artists did them, the same thing goes for cake design. What I aim to do is make something unique and customized that showcases your personal taste and preferences.

Personalization
Rather than solely relying on photos of cakes created by other designers, I want to delve deeper into the atmosphere and emotions you wish to convey through your cake.
To ensure the cake aligns perfectly with your overall event, I find it tremendously helpful when my clients provide additional elements that inspire them such as: Wedding dress patterns, architectural details from the venue or your favorite vacation spots, invitation/ stationary art, and any cultural symbols or meaningful elements that hold significance to you. Incorporating these unique touches ensures that your cake becomes a truly personal representation of your journey, values, and heritage.
I also highly encourage all couples to create a mood/vision board that includes your color story, floral details or arrangement examples, and any patterns, typefaces, fonts, or wedding décor. These elements help me to capture the essence of your event and create a cake design that harmonizes beautifully with the overall theme.
